Yesterday morning me and my mate Marius went up to a nearby water wich we have visited two times earlyer this week, we had ofcourse a great time (fishingtime is allways great time), with a perfect cloudy sky and almost no winds. Most of the time the water was like a mirror and it`s not easy to find the right flie in my dry flie box that is almost empty, I dont fish like this as much as I should so the dry flie collection is more or less put together for riverfishing. 15 feet of thin leader and the smallest parachout flie I could find almost saved the day. Earlyer this morning I cought a small trout on a caddie but then it was easyer with a breze over the water.
Marius had never tryed flyfishing the first day we fished this water, since he had some gear after his father he wanted to try this, so I gave him his first lesson here. With vegetation where the fish wakes, a long leader and a tiny flie I thought he would be cravling back to his lurerod. It`s not easy to get the flie out to the fish the first time, but by giving the right instructions to the right troutbum small miracles can happen, a couple of hours with casting and teorethics there was the birth of a flyfisher, Marius cought a waking brown trout on an elkhair caddie. He left his lurerod in the car the last two trips up to the water and already he is broke after a wisit to the local tackle store.
Easy with that line!! This is not lurecasting, you wait for the line to straighten behind you before you shoot!!!
Delicate presentation, you`re not fishing in the sea now!!
-I guess I`ll find that paraglider of your`s on ebay soon!!
