A long summer is over and most of the freshwaterfishing is over for me now.
Two months ago I was e-mailed by Henry Gilbey, his friend Roger Mortimore needed some tips and someone to show him around on the shores in Saltstraumen and around.
Roger Mortimore and Sean Nally left on thursday after six days of shorefishing in and around Bodø, thank you guys for letting me do the guiding!!
The fishing could have been better but that is impossible to know in advance. We had a great time together even in the rain that we experienced the two first days. The weather got a lot better and we had summer for the rest of the week. I really hope I can take you to that seatrout another time Roger.
After a demonstration of long distance casting by the former world champion I need to take a look at how I do my rods for the baitfishing, years ago I used the multiplier reel for baitcasting but I started to use spinningreels, not quite sure why, -easier to find the right spinningrods in Norway. Now I`ve got two great beachcasters that is rigged for multipliers (thank you Roger) and I think I should be able to place my baits over the edge after some castingpractice.
Later on I will post some photos from the fishing, Roger had outstanding photogear and he will send some pics on a CD.
Now I will go on with the saltwaterfishing and start posting it here. I have my obligations as a father, worker and houseowner but the fishing must also be taken care of as often as possible.
