More Snow

I think/ Actually I know I might head over to the Great Miami River or the Ohio River to do some Sauger Fishing. They are being caught in the rivers and I need to get on the action. Although we have a fresh layer of snow from last nights little storm......and more on the way. ........

More Bald Eagles than Fish

I took my friend Thom Mattauch out to look for some kitties on the James. We launched from Deep Bottom and covered a lot of water. I haven't been skunked on catfish in a while, but some days.... it's just the way it goes. I didn't even get a hook up. Thom had two hook ups and lost both (one right by the boat). On the way back in we saw 4 or 5 bald eagles and several great blue herons.

Thom, sorry I couldn't get you on some fish. Maybe next time.

Cabin Fever

Wouldn't you know it? I got "Cabin Fever". Mid January, stuck with a 5 year old boy, my son, in the house. Have not had much of a chance to get out lately. Working, holidays, kids been sick. Sucks........Been planning a trout trip in March, to Georgia....that's making me go insane....the weather has kept me from getting out and doing any fishing. Stuff is frozen over, snow has melted away.....pretty shitty out. I am rambling....gonna try and get out next week maybe. Will be over in Indiana, maybe try for something below the Brookville damn.

Thirteen

days into the new year there has been just a few short fishingtrips. Saltstraumen is often the spot that can give you a fish of respectable size, but you need to be there at the right time, right side and right tide. I have not been able to fish any of theese times yet, but the winter is long. Have tried a couple of my favourite spots to but with no luck just fresh cool air, rain, snow and wind. A few days ago we had 30 cm of snow on one day, but sadly, the next day the rain came and took it all away. We had some wind to...

Sunday morning I spendt some hours at the sea without any kind of fishingear. I had about five minutes with no rain. But it`s great just to take a walk in this kind of weather, it makes you feel alive.
