Great fishing today. -4 degrees and I wanted to make the fishing easy so I went off to Saltstraumen, one rod and a couple of 135 gr. storm shad jigs. Further in the fjord of Saltstraumen, close to the outlet to Skjerstadfjorden there is some spots that is known to be wery rich of fish and I took the long walk around icy rocks and a couple of elks to reach this spots and I dont regret a minute of it.
Three really nice cods, 2, 4 and about 7 kilos. I was amazed over how close to shore they hit my shad, it`s about 30 meter of depth where I was fishing and when retrieving the shad from the bottom it fees like it`s climbing the rocks right benith my feets. Half way up I hoked the fish, all three of them at about the same place and depth.
